Ministry Description

General Expectations

Reception
· Interact with the public and congregation.
· Answer telephones.
· Respond and provide access to the building as appropriate.

Communication/Publications

· Create and distribute a weekly newsletter.
· Maintain the exterior digital sign.
· Promote events – create slides, posters, and other publications for use throughout the facilities, including announcement slides for Sunday morning worship.
· Mass mailings and e-mails to the congregation.
Benevolent Ministry
· Maintain a database, process calls, and provide resources to people seeking help.
· Communicate with staff regarding funeral arrangements, hospitalizations, prayer requests, and other needs.
· Coordinate facility use, food, and flowers surrounding a funeral.

Office Administration

· Maintain calendars for building usage, conference room, staff vacations, van schedules, etc.
· Process facility requests
· Process mail
· Inventory, maintain, and order office supplies.
· Keep church software with membership data current (ACS).
· Create and maintain files, records, agendas, etc.
· Support the ministerial staff with administrative needs.
· Check out keys for temporary access.
· Coordinate the work of vendors.

Hours
30 – 40 hours per week – Negotiable
Current office hours are:
8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with 30-minute lunch break
