IMpact Our World
Monte Vista proudly partners with a number of international organizations in an effort to serve those with the greatest needs. Let us help connect you as you seek to serve God by serving others.
National and International Organizations and Opportunities
Volunteers for China
VFC facilitates opportunities for volunteers to be involved in short or long term service in China. Service projects are identified that enable sharing the love of Christ through helping to improve the living conditions and economic status of the Chinese people. Funding is also provided for training church leaders, building churches, and responding to natural disasters.
Monte Vista supports this ministry through sending volunteers and collecting supplies for those who are serving. For more information contact: David and Ann Wilson at [email protected] or 865 983-9852
Operation Christmas Child
Samaritan’s Purse, an organization founded in 1970, is a non-denominational, evangelical organization which serves the Church worldwide and promotes the gospel of Jesus Christ. As a part of Samaritan’s Purse, Operation Christmas Child fulfills the organizational mission by sending shoe-boxes full of gifts from churches to needy children all over the world. Monte Vista has participated in OCC for many years. For more information about how you can get involved, visit www.samaritanspurse.org, or contact the church at [email protected]. Share the Light
In order to build long term change in the lives of the people Share the Light (STL) interacts with the Haitian people on a regular basis. They believe in equipping the Haitian people with all the necessary skills and basic life needs for them to move their lives forward. It is crucial that STL see themselves as one piece of a long journey for each life they touch. This is why their mission is about long-term self-sufficient life. This looks different for every person they interact, which is why they strive to meet basic needs and move to lasting connections within communities. Founders, David and Jennifer Reece are the caretakers of this ministry. For more info, go to: www.sharethelightminstry.org
Change for Change
We believe that small donations, in aggregate, lead to big outcomes. We’re here to partner with organizations who share our vision and are mobilizing communities to affect meaningful change.
CBF Missions
Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we cultivate beloved community, bear witness to Jesus Christ and seek transformational development among people and places otherwise forgotten and forsaken. Our field personnel serve alongside congregations within three primary contexts: global poverty, global migration and the global church.
